Senior Investigator Sentenced for Bribery

Dmitry Dovgy, the former head of the main investigative arm at the Investigation Committee of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office was sentenced to nine years of imprisonment for bribery. A jury found him guilty of accepting a bribe of 750,000 euro for closing a criminal investigation. Dovgy is known for his role in a number of high-profile investigations, including the one against Deputy Finance Minister Sergey Storchak.
