Konstantin Poltoranin, the press secretary of Russia’s Federal Migration Service, when asked in a BBC interview why people seeking refuge in Russia live in such poor conditions, replied: "What is now at stake is the survival of the white race. We feel this in Russia." He added: "We want to make sure the mixing of blood happens in the right way here." The BBC article is entitled “Russia: Racism and Abuse in Asylum Centers.”
