A court in Jersey, Channel Islands, seized local assets of Rosneft, a major Russian oil company, in relation to a $650 mln claim of Yukos Capital Sarl, a Luxembourg company controlled by the former management of defunct Russian oil giant Yukos. Rosneft controls a number of offshore companies in Jersey, although it is not clear whether they own any substantial assets.
