A court in Moscow awarded to the Russian Kremlin-backed youth movement "Nashi" about $10,000 in its libel suit against a French newspaper, Le Journal du Dimanche, which characterized Nashi's ideology as “a fierce mix of patriotism and xenophobia.” Similar suits against other foreign media are pending.
