Hewlett-Packard Accused of Bribing Russian Officials

German authorities arrested three Hewlett-Packard employees for alleged bribes paid in connection with a contract to supply equipment to Russia’s General Prosecutor Office. The kickbacks allegedly totalled €8 million in 2000-2007, the amount of the contract being €35 mln. Upon a legal assistance request from Germany, Russian General Prosecutor Office investigators conducted a search in Hewlett-Packard’s premises in Moscow.
